Project Spotlight: Premier's La Concha Key West is a historic conservation boutique hotel renovation

Premier is pleased to announce we will lead the interior design, procurement, and project management of the renovation and reconceptualization of the Crowne Plaza La Concha Hotel in Key West, Florida.  Upon completion, the property will be rebranded as La Concha Key West, an Autograph Collection Hotel. Premier is working in partnership with sister company Remington Hospitality, who will manage the property.  The project is slated for completion in 2024.

This boutique hotel renovation is a notable addition to Premier's project portfolio; not only is La Concha Key West another example of Premier's capabilities with boutique hotel design, the project is also a historic conservation effort, seeing Premier reactivate an aged hotel into a vibrant new destination.

As part of the project scope, Premier will be responsible for the comprehensive transformation of La Concha Key West’s lobby, bar, and restaurant, as well as upgrading the exterior, modernizing guestrooms and guest bathrooms, refreshing corridors, and rejuvenating the pool and fitness center. As part of the renovation, the previously underutilized spa will be converted into premium rooftop suites.

La Concha Key West will deliver a chic, modern aesthetic that pays homage to the vibrant tropical spirit of Key West.  Lush, organic and biophilic cues will be found throughout the property, while dining spaces and the destination mojito bar find inspiration in Cuban art deco design.  Rounding-out the Caribbean tropical aesthetic, rattan furniture and natural wood finishes applied in concert with blush pink and aquamarine touches emphasize the hotel's place in its surrounding seaside environment.
